- En la mondon venis nova sento,
- Tra la mondo iras forta voko;
- Per flugiloj de facila vento
- Nun de loko flugu ĝi al loko.
- Ne al glavo sangon soifanta
- Ĝi la homan tiras familion:
- al la mond’ eterne militanta
- Ĝi promesas sanktan harmonion.
- Sub la sankta signo de l’ espero
- Kolektiĝas pacaj batalantoj,
- Kaj rapide kreskas la afero
- Per laboro de la esperantoj.
- Forte staras muroj de miljaroj
- Inter la popoloj dividitaj;
- Sed dissaltos la obstinaj baroj,
- Per la sankta amo disbatitaj.
- Sur neŭtrala lingva fundamento,
- Komprenante unu la alian,
- La popoloj faros en konsento
- Unu grandan rondon familian.
- Nia diligenta kolegaro
- En laboro paca ne laciĝos,
- Ĝis la bela sonĝo de l’ homaro
- Por eterna ben’ efektiviĝos.

On racism
“Democracy is deeply rooted in this country (Sweden). We respect the basic freedoms and human rights. Murky racial theories haven never got a foothold. We gladly see ourselves as unprejudiced and tolerant, yet it’s not that simple.
The prejudice has a much simpler origin. The prejudice always has it’s roots in the daily life. It sprouts at the workplace and in the neighbourhood. It’s an outlet for your own failures and disappointments. It is especially an expression of ignorance and fear. Ignorance of other people’s distinctive character, fear of losing a position, a social privilege, your “right” of option. A humans colour of skin, race, language and place of birth has nothing to do with human qualities. Ranking people with such gauge is on the contrary to the principle of human equality.
But it is shamefully simple to use for the one who feels inferior, at work, at social life, at the competition for the girl or the boy.
That is why the prejudice always awaits around the corner, even in an enlightened society. It can come out in a thoughtless line a comment. Maybe the one who acts doesn’t have so bad intentions, but for the one who gets hit, it might tear up wounds that never heal.”

Thank you
To day I spent hours at the hospital, getting X-rayed, poked at but mostly waiting. Finely a Doctor decided it was best to plaster my left thumb, the one I landed on while skiing (stupid me, stupid me!) on New Years Eve (I was not going to spend New Years Eve in the ER ).
Sure, I had to spend most of the day there to day, eating hospital food and all, but thank you, thank you good people of Sweden, it was almost for free. All this attention, multiple X-rays taken (my left hand are now glowing) and as much as 4 different Doctors examining me at different stages. All this for only 300 Swedish Crowns (about $46 US or € 31).
Thank you again.
